Zoila Forss (Crespo Moreyra) was born in Lima on April 18, 1969 in Lima, Peru.  Her interest in writing poetry started at an early age. Forss received her BA in Communications from the National University of San Marcos, Lima, and attended the Cinema Academy of Filmmaking and Film Workshop, directed by the Peruvian director Armando Robles Godoy. 

In 2000, she moved to Finland. As a literary translator, she translates literary works from Finnish to Spanish in different projects and festivals. 

Currently, she is engaged with the translation of a bilingual poetry anthology,

entitled Holograma- Hologrammi. Since 2014, she has published two poetry books. The first one, entitled Revontuli, was published in Lima in a bilingual edition in Spanish and Finnish, and her second poetry book, entitled Unguilty Harpoon, was published in a trilingual edition in Finnish, Spanish and English in Helsinki. Forss has been invited to several literary events and international poetry festivals, including Instituto Raúl Porras Barrenechea in Lima, Runoviikko poetry festivals in Turku and Helsinki, the Lahti Poetry Marathon, the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland and

the T-junction international poetry festival in Middlesbrough, UK, to read her works. She has a special concern for multilingualism and literary translations and has collaborated with different working groups and in several concerned projects. Her poetry encompasses many themes but mainly explores natural elements, death, love, freedom, language with a surrealism and moral touch.
